5th Annual Kyle Comfort 5K
Captain Kyle Comfort was killed in combat in May 2008. Since then, his wife and family have created the Captain Kyle Comfort Memorial Foundation, a charity to aid service members and their families during their recovery and healing. The Foundation's main fundraiser is this 5K Walk/Run held on Veteran's Day weekend each year. On Saturday morning, 492 participants and 100 volunteers honored Alabamians that have lost their lives serving our country since September 2001.

From Captain Kyle Comfort's Blog in January 2008:

America, sleep sound tonight. The Soldiers of Bravo Company will tuck you in with the power of freedom and all that it offers. They will ask nothing of you and it is likely they never will. When you see these few, these happy few, tell them you love them for their sacrifice and that you slept well tonight.
Kyle A. Comfort, 2LT FA Bravo Co  FSO 2-502D IN REGT

Thank you to all the men and women that have fought, continue to fight, and will fight for this great nation!
